Primary School
Grades Kindergarten Through Three
The main Primary School entry points are at kindergarten and first grades. Openings in grades two through three are limited, but applications are welcome since unexpected openings may occur.
Kindergarten – Applicants must be four by September 1, 2020, to apply to kindergarten. The birthday range for kindergarten applicants is late summer 2015 to August 31, 2016.
First Grade – Applicants must be five by September 1, 2020, to apply to first-grade. The birthday range for first grade applicants is late summer 2014 to August 31, 2015.
Lower School
Grades Four through Five
The main Lower School entry points are at third and fourth grades.
Middle School
Grades Six through Seven
Capital Preparatory welcomes applications to its Middle School. Our main entry point is the sixth grade, but we also invite applications for grades seven.
When making decisions, our Admissions Committee places great emphasis on past and current grades, school recommendations, prior standardized testing, personal interviews, and in certain instances, in-house assessment results.
Upper School
Grades Eight through Twelve
Capital Preparatory welcomes applications to its Upper School. Our main entry point is the ninth grade, but we also invite applications for tenth through twelfth grade.
When making decisions, our Admissions Committee places great emphasis on past and current grades, school recommendations, prior standardized testing, personal interviews, and in certain instances, in-house assessment results.
